Chris Murphy is an Evangelist for Epic Games and founder of Pub Games, an independent Australian game developer, with game development credits across PC, Vive, Oculus, PS4, iOS and Android. Chris has over 10 years of experience with Unreal Engine, a Bachelor of Computer Science and a Bachelor of Multimedia, culminating in a broad skillset across a range of game development disciplines.
Chris’ role as Evangelist for Epic Games is to help independent game developers build successful games with Unreal Engine 4 through support, training and education.
Guy manages business development for Google Play Games & Apps in Southeast Asia and works with developers in the region to help them build successful global business. Prior to Google, he has worked extensively with leading developers and partners at leading tech companies in Asia Pacific at Samsung, TripAdvisor and eBay.
As a lead game designer for one of the world’s biggest video game developers, Wan Hazmer’s day-to-day job at Square Enix involves the imagining of fantastic worlds. Hazmer headed the “Culture” team, which is assigned to create and design cities for the award winning game Final Fantasy XV. Even more impressively, over 6.5 million units were shipped globally since launch day.
While others just play it, he oversees what goes into Final Fantasy XV’s large world. Simultaneously, he does his best to incorporate his proud Malaysian culture into the game. For instance, Lestallum is a town inspired by Malaysia’s Mamak stall culture, with appearances of staple breakfasts such as roti canai, satay and teh tarik. Wan Hazmer’s passion for video games is an innate quality, having been very critical about game design since very young. In 2008, he left his native city of Kuala Lumpur for Tokyo to learn Japanese.
He could write a ten-page proposal in Japanese by 2010, and thus used it as his stepping stone to get to where he is today. Now he challenges his game design with new VR technology for the upcoming title, Monster of the Deep: FINAL FANTASY XV. He remains to be a proud member of Business Division 2, a team led by Hajime Tabata that continues to pursue leading-edge concepts and technology.
WeiGing is a Dev. Community Manager of HTC Vive in APAC. He is responsible for VR Ecosystem enablement for Asia Pacific, developer and partnership management as well as exploring potential business opportunity. Prior to joining VR team, he has rich experience in big data analysis and software architecture review for mobile devices.
Right after college, Okamoto joined Techmo where he began his career in game development. During his years at Techmo, Okamoto participated in projects such as Rygar, Monster Rancher 4, Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive 4; before going on to undertake the role of Producer for Ninja Gaiden 2.

My journey in the industry began at Codemasters (KL) back in 2006, then Ubisoft (Singapore) in 2009 and with EA (Sweden) in 2014. Privileged to have worked alongside awesome teams on franchises like DiRT, Assassins Creed and Need for Speed during those times. I joined Unity (Denmark) recently as the Creative Director for the Asset Store. I'm responsible to explore and envision new creative projects and partnerships to focus on Quality, Engagement and Growth for our community of Unity developers.
Having taken an unconventional path of education, Ian started working right after secondary school and returned to his studies at 23, receiving The Ngee Ann Kongsi Scholarship at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. Ian co-founded Battlebrew Productions with industry veterans Elicia Lee, Shawn Toh and Benjamin Chua in 2017. He has also recently moved on from Witching Hour Studios, the award winning game studio he had co-founded with some friends in 2010.
Aside from Battlebrew, Ian spends his time helping out in the local games industry, helping steer the local chapter of the International Game Developers Association and lecturing on game design and storytelling.
Fakhra AlMansouri is a game designer, caramel appreciator and future astronaut.
She is the founder and CEO of Hybrid Humans, the first independent game studio in Abu Dhabi, UAE. She's passionate about creating video game experiences that matter. She was awarded Young Achiever in Video Game Development by FEMINA. Some of her titles include Falcon Valley, Bye Bye Sheep and Who Lurks that is an IndieCade Festival Selection and was voted top 10 games of 2018. When she's not game developing, organizing game jams, or creating workshops to introduce students to game design, you can find her kayaking, bowling or on the hunt for a new caramel candy. Her next big goal is to develop games in space.

Kris Antoni is the founder and supreme leader of Toge Productions, an independent game development and publishing studio based in Indonesia.
Kris has more than 9 years of experience in making and releasing quirky and unusual independent games, including award-winning titles such as Infectonator and My Lovely Daughter. As a publisher, Toge Productions focuses on helping underprivileged developers bring their games to the global market.
Sam came to the games industry with a background in Behavioural Analysis as a consultant specialising in training businesses in negotiation and partnering. Working with a management consultancy group, he helped a diverse range of companies from multinationals to supermarket chains as they made the difficult cultural transition into partnering and strategic alliancing. During this time Sam also maintained a passion for comics and gaming; co-founding a comic book studio in the mid-nineties before going on to work freelance in comics, commercial illustration and design.
In 2006 he committed full time to games by joining Sumo Digital as an artist and becoming Outsource Manager in 2009. In this position he successfully guided Sumo’s Indian art studio into becoming a fully integrated partner, while managing the developer’s rapidly expanding outsource program which stretched across several simultaneous (often cross-platform) titles for a variety of publishers, including Microsoft, Sony, Sega and EA.
David Lam has been working in the games industry for over 18 years. He started out locally in Vancouver as a student at VFS and found himself drawn to character art. David had a long career at Electronic Arts working on titles such as SSX, NBA Street, Need for Speed, FIFA, and NHL. During his time as a production artist, David found enjoyment and fulfillment in teaching. He has taught BCIT, Think Tank Training Center, and VanArts. He has also participated as a demo artist for Wacom. David joined Bioware in 2012 as an Associate External Art Director and continued in a broader role as Senior Art Manager supporting the Edmonton, Montreal and Austin studios.
Currently, David is working at Microsoft under Turn10 as a Senior Producer supporting external development for the Forza franchise.
Gwen is a Singapore-based sound designer for video games and also the co-founder of IMBA Interactive, a studio which provides end-to-end solutions for game audio. Having experience of heading an startup for nearly 6 years, she's developed nearly obsessive project management skills with a flair for organisation and execution whilst maintaining welfare of co-workers and staff. She is also the chairperson of Singapore Games Guild, hoping to promote a sustainable ecosystem within the industry and nurturing holistic game developers.
With more than 13 years’ experience in video games & animation industry, Liew Kah Chun (KC) develop a wide skill set from pre-production to post-production. His enthusiasm in “Make Good Art” entitle him as an Art Director in Lemon Sky the top leading CGI Studio in Malaysia.

Stefan has worked in the games industry building game levels since the 90s, and co-founded Streamline Studios in 2001. His background is Level Design and Game Design and has led the product and game development initiatives at Streamline over the last decade.
Key IP contributed to through Streamline's services: James Cameron’s AVATAR, Star Wars, GearsofWar, Terminator, Unreal Tournament, Final Fantasy XV. He often participates in Level Design & Game Design tasks at the studio in addition to the day to day running of the business. .

Chad is an independent game designer, curator, and the director of Freeplay, Australia’s longest running independent games festival. He is best known for his work with Hovergarden, Melbourne’s videogame curatorial duo, and Contours, the most comprehensive exhibition of contemporary Australian games and interactive art.
In the past, Chad has worked on award winning games such as Turnover, the four-player multigravity steal-the-ball-n-run frenzy, Cart-Load-O-Fun, a collaborative installation game designed for trains and trams, and This Is Not A VR Game, an audio-only VR performance. In his spare time, Chad finds himself indulging in sour worms and wasabi flavoured peas.
Anisa Sanusi is a UI/UX Designer at Hutch Games based in London, UK. Born and raised in Petaling Jaya, she studied computer animation at The One Academy in Bandar Sunway and completed her degree at Teesside University in Middlesbrough, UK. Since then she’s had video games experience between three different studios across PC, consoles and mobile.
Throughout the years Anisa has cultivated a devotion to effective UX design, speaking at the first UX Summit held at the Games Developers Conference in San Francisco and also served as a Juror for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Games Awards for multiple years. Anisa is an advocate for diversity and inclusivity in the games industry, having talked about her experiences at the European Women in Games Conference.
Anisa was named as one of GamesIndustry.Biz Top 100 Future Talents, on top of being listed in Develop Magazine’s 30 Under 30 list. With no signs of slowing down, Anisa tries to give back to the games community by spending time giving advice to students and aspiring game developers at expo’s, game jams, and career fairs.
Nicholas Sagau is the Group General Manager for Media Prima Digital the digital arm of Malaysia’s largest media conglomerates - Media Prima Berhad. He oversees the digital operation of the group. One of many role is driving the executing the Media Prima digital’s strategy in the rapidly disrupted media space.
He also heads Media Prima Labs, the in-house incubator of Media Prima Berhad to further extend the Group's unique intellectual properties into the expanse of digital innovation and games. Media Prima Labs has to-date released 12 lifestyle/entertainment verticals in form of native app and 5 mobile games since the labs started operation in Nov 2015 with nearly 7 million download in total & monthly active user of 2.3 million.

Shahrizar Roslan; often just called Shah runs Kaigan Games, a game studio based in Malaysia. Born in the sleepy town of Sungai Petani he attended Universiti Teknologi Malaysia for his undergraduate studies in Industrial Physics but dropped out of his master’s research and worked in the Human Capital Development industry for a couple of years.
He found his true passion in Game Development where one fateful weekend he and his brother Azmi sat down and made their first game. The 2 brothers were at it for 6 years, with over 20 games made for clients from around the world. Shah was the Artist, Animator, and Game Designer during this period.
On 2016, Shahrizar, his brother and one more friend setup their new company Kaigan Games which has emerged as a critically acclaimed video game studio in the region, with over 10 international game awards (with the newest being the “Best Mobile Game” award at Casual Connect Los Angeles, USA) and millions of downloads in just their first 2 games. Merging live action videos with topical issues, Kaigan Games is breaking new ground in digital entertainment. Currently Shahrizar plays the role of both CEO and Producer at Kaigan.
Yiwei is the founder and director of Kurechii, an indie studio that is home to award-winning titles like the King’s League series, Tiny Guardians and Postknight. Hailing from a background in multimedia design, Yiwei designed refreshing games for players around the world to enjoy.
Beyond leading the development of games in Kurechii, Yiwei also shares his knowledge and experience through lectures at a local university, and shares his experiences at local and international events.
LeeYing Foo is the UI/general artist for Kaigan Games a Malaysian indie game company, She's the primary artist for her first game that was released in Oct 2017 - SIMULACRA (a found phone horror game), It has since won many awards locally and internationally alike. Although she currently works with mainly UI, she is also does 3D modeling, digital illustrations and embroidery in her own time.

Sho Sato is the Principal Analyst at Media Create, one and only independent Japanese game marketing firm established in 1994. Media Create provides marketing data which are used by most Japanese game publishers like Nintendo, Sony, Square Enix and KONAMI.
Besides Japanese game market, he is known as a market research specialist in emerging game market like Southeast Asia, Latin America and Middle East. He was an international advisory board at NASSCOM GDC, the largest Indian game developers conference.
He is an invited speaker at various international events for game developers in more than 10 countries.
Thomas holds a BA in Political sciences, an MA in Economics and International Relations from the Catholic University of Milan and an MSc in International management (China) from the School of Oriental Studies (SOAS) of the University of London. He started-up and led the Italy China Foundation from 2005 to 2015. In 2010, he founded the CeSIF, the Research Centre on China studies which he directed until 2015. Thomas was since 2008 a Professor of Chinese Economy and Institutions at the Catholic University of Milan and is currently a visiting professor at ASERI – the Postgraduate School of Economics and International Relations in Milan. He relaunched and directed Mondo Cinese, the Italian review of Chinese studies founded in 1973 and has authored around 20 publications on the Chinese economy and business.
In 2015, he started-up the China operations of Digital Bros Group a leading stock-listed digital entertainment company, parent company of 505 Games, with offices in Italy, UK, France, Germany, Spain, the United States and China and global distribution capabilities. Desmond leads the studio network, including operation and publishing for the iCandy Interactive Group and is the concurrent CEO of group company, Appxplore (iCandy). A 20-year veteran in the creative industries, he was the producer of Saladin – The Animated Series, 2011 nominee for the International Emmy Awards (Malaysia’s first Emmy Award nomination). And before that, Desmond spent 5 years in the USA working as a Multimedia Designer in Garmin International, Art Director in Digital Pipe Inc., and Streaming Media Specialist at Fantastic Corp.

Tuan-Anh Nguyen is a data-minded programer with a passion for developing algorithms and competitive programming. He is a 2-time finalist of the Vietnam National Informatics Olympiad Award. In addition, he won first place in the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest.
Anh specializes in Big Data analytics working with the largest clusters in Vietnam for real-time analytics. Anh was the former Project Owner of botplatform.vn, and is now a Data Scientist at GAMEJAM. Anh received a BS in Economics at Foreign Trade University in Ha Noi.
Having been in the games industry for over 20 years in almost every capacity, I have been lucky enough to see the industry go through a lot of changes. Working with corporations like Lucasarts, Sega and EA has given me a deep understanding of why big companies make the choices they do, and now I apply this knowledge where necessary to Indie games (hint - its usually not necessary!).
Now I have my own company, our goal is to make a lot with very little, something we have done well at, having shipped 10 games across 24 SKUS (mobile, console and PC) in just 5 years. (with an average of just 5 people)!

I'm 29 years old this year. Having the time of my life as they say life starts at a much later age. I was a cabin crew for Air Asia before for 6 years, had enough of living for someone else's dream. I became a Youtuber, Youtubing as a tech reviewer is hard and I couldn't pay off my bills, so I took a different approach and became a streamer but the Youtube dream still isn't dead yet.
Keizac started his career at BNP Paribas before joining a Taiwanese conglomerate, investing in TMT companies globally.
His passion for gaming led him to Kowloon Nights where he oversees a portfolio of titles. At Kowloon Nights, Keizac sources new games, evaluates them and manages relationships with developers and strategic partners.
Keizac has produced a Webby nominated short and is a competitive MOBA player.
Kenny completed his Economics degree in University of Washington, USA. Back in the US, college students severely lacked leadership skills. So he partnered up with an Executive Coach and sold coaching programmes to students on campus. After graduating, he came back to Malaysia and landed a job with Microsoft Malaysia. He did product marketing, specifically on Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. He was the youngest Microsoft manager in Asia. He started innovating the training world through his company Innovative Formula, to bring trainings that are both impactful and fun. Little did he know, what he did was called “gamification”. Innovative Formula grew from a local training company to a multi-million dollar regional company.
Currently, Kenny is the Chief Gamification Officer in Gameka. One of his aspirations in life is to bring FUN and MEANING back to work. His personal mission is to “Empower young to achieve their dreams”. This is coming to fruition as the whole concept of Gamification aligns with empowering the young to be natural leaders through digital transformation. Together with a team of highly capable people, Gameka grew to an internationally known company. Gameka has won local and global awards and on the path of exponential growth is a testament to the markets need for gamifying their workplace. Ian Purnomo is the Public Relations and Developers Relations lead for PlayStation platform in Southeast Asia region. Prior to working at Sony Interactive Entertainment, Ian had years of experience working in various roles in video games industry, including game development (Game Designer in LucasArts), marketing communications in online game publisher (Asiasoft and Cherry Credits) and education (adjunct in DigiPen Institute of Technology Singapore).
DC Gan(Hudson) together with his brother Welson Gan are two brothers born in Penang. Being a gamer since young, they have a very solid gaming background. DC studied music production in California and he always wanted to make the dream game with his brother Welson. In 2017, they founded Magnus Games Studio and they are the freshman in the Game Industry of Malaysia. Within a year, they've gone global by not only being the most funded Kickstarter project in SEA, but also partnering with 505 games, a global publisher who is also a subsidiary of the listed company called Digital Bros Spa.
As a Gaming Technical Specialist at Google Cloud, Samir works with game publishers and studios around Japan and APAC to help them build super fast and scalable game backends that offer the best user experience to players around the world.
Tyler has been with Niko Partners for 3 years. Prior to Niko, he had over 10 years of experience as a consultant, first as a Marketing Consultant in Bangkok, Thailand and as a Senior Consultant with a boutique consulting firm in Washington DC. Tyler's areas of expertise include market development, research and analysis, and corporate strategy. Tyler has dual masters degrees, an MBA from NIDA in Bangok, Thailand and an MIA from the School of Global Policy at the University of San Diego, CA. In his free time, Tyler loves traveling or relaxing at home with a good book.
Spencer got into games because he believed that one day, he would meet like-minded passionate individuals to work with in pushing this wonderful industry forward. Larian Studios gave him his first RPG Divine Divinity to work on back in 2000 and has forever been grateful for that opportunity.
In his 18-year career, Spencer has worked at companies such as Disney and Sony PlayStation. His discipline covers marketing, production, licensing and business strategy. He also sets aside time consulting and bridging people together from other industries such as comic publishing, board game creation, TV, film and funding opportunities.

Growing up playing video games, Az spent hours gaming on classic gaming systems such as the Atari 2600, NES, Sega Genesis, Game Boy and the Super Nintendo. A fan of the Nintendo series such as Zelda and Metroid as well as Square RPGs such as Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana, Az’s future musical tastes were shaped early on by the cinematic music scores of these now classics. When he started composing instrumental solo guitar music, these melodies were some of the inspiration he drew upon from his subconscious.
Az was the featured classical guitar soloist with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) for the Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy Kuala Lumpur premiere conducted by Arnie Roth (USA) at their three sold-out shows. Az also performed for the South East Asian premiere of A New World: Intimate Music from Final Fantasy at the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas in Kuala Lumpur conducted by Arnie Roth (USA) and featuring pianist Benyamin Nuss (Germany).

Zierasmayu is one of the key Founding Members of APU eSports Malaysia Academy, a joint-initiative by Esports Malaysia and APIIT Education Group, which is recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education in promoting healthy competitive gaming within the university environment.
Zierasmayu is part of the Approving Panels for MSC Malaysia National Occupational Skills Standard (NOSS), which is established by the Department of Skills Development under the purview of the Ministry of Human Resources for game design and game programming in 2015. Besides game development, she is actively involved with national and international varsity esports scenes.
In 2017, Zierasmayu initiated the development of proper national accreditation for esports industry to strengthen Malaysia position as games industry hub in the region. Dr. Norhaida Mohd Suaib is a senior lecturer at School of Computing, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia where she started tutoring in 1995. Specializing in the field of computer graphics, particularly interactive computer graphics, collision detection and physics-based model, she taught many computer graphics-related subjects in the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including computer games. Among her current research focus is on using computer graphics and computer games technology in the preservation of both tangible and intangible cultural heritage. When not using computers, her other hobbies include photography and painting.
Tan Chin Ike was involved in digital effects for TV Commercials and interactive content for many years before venturing into the academic world. In 2003, he embarked on a career changing move by taking his Masters and delving at the same time into Game Design at a renowned Game Development University in the UK.
